Blue Eyed Cutie
Mama says this is her new favorite picture. She was trying out Grandpa D's new camera and got this picture of me. She wants me to let you all know that she didn't change the color of my eyes and that that is how the camera picked them up. No wonder I'm a blue-eyed cutie!!
Out of the mouths of babes
I think I am just so funny! Once again I made Mama and Daddy crack up laughing. We were in the car coming home from Grandma C and Grandpa D's house and Mama was going on about something. I couldn't follow all of it, but I think it had sometime to do with light bulbs. Anyway, Mama was getting pretty passionate about it, so I think it must be pretty important. I wanted to let her know I had her back, so when she stopped I chimed in right away with "AMEN!!" Well, at that point Mama and Daddy burst out laughing. Guess I musta said something funny.
It's Present Time!
Wow! You should have seen our tree Christmas morning!! Everyone says I'm spoiled, but I sure like to look at it as I'm well loved. Okay, maybe I am spoiled. *smile*
Christmas Eve Daddy brought some presents over from Grandma C and Grandpa D's house. I saw him putting them on the kitchen table and started saying "Presents, presents! Merry Christmas!!" I don't know why Mama and Daddy thought that was so funny. But, I guess Mama and Daddy said everyone had got me so much that they let me open a few Christmas Eve (so that I wouldn't be overwhelmed on Christmas morning). I got into doing that!!

I think I had fun on Christmas Day, but I don't know. I think there might have been too much going on and Mama and Daddy where right about feeling overwhelmed. At one point Mama tried to get me to open some presents and I took off and hid in my room. I just don't understand why they couldn't let me play with my cool new shopping cart!

And I've been such a helper for Daddy at Grandma C and Grandpa D's house that they bought me my own tools!! While I think I look just adorable, I think they are just a tad big on me. Grandma C says she didn't realize they were meant for a 7 year old and that I probably won't really be able to use it till I'm older. Whoa... I'm going to be ancient by the time I'm 7!!!

What a snowfall!
The other night I went to sleep just like any other night. But, when I woke up in the morning, we had a ton of this white stuff Mama and Daddy say is snow!!!!! Sure, I'd seen the stuff before, but never this much! Well, this morning Mama got me all bundled up. I mean, I had on 2 pairs of socks, my regular clothes, snowpants, 2 pairs of mittens, my hat, my coat, and my shoes!!! Then Mama got all bundled up and took me outside. We went sledding (well, I did and Mama pulled me around), then I tried walking in the snow. By the way, I didn't like that so much. I couldn't keep my balance and kept falling down. After that Mama and I tried to make a snowman, but the snow wouldn't pack. Here's some pictures of me sledding...

The Family
Tea Party
Mama snapped this adorable picture of me having a tea party with my breakfast. Once in a while Mama lets me just have my food instead of sitting at the table, which is what she had done this day. So, I set things up on the kitchen floor, invited Sassy (her name is really Sassafras and she's one of Santa's elves who is visiting me!!), Bear (he's not in the picture) and Lego-man (he's not their either... I think he was in a time-out). I also found a juice bottle from yesterday so Sassy would have something to drink. Then, we went to town eating! I had so much fun I might decide to do it again.
Progression of a Tantrum
It's me again! Mama says she's sorry for taking so long to post. She's been pretty busy since Thanksgiving with decorating and Christmas cards and shopping and making gifts and wrapping gifts and a whole bunch of other stuff I don't remember. But, Mama was trying to get a good picture of me to send to Aunt V since she bought me this great outfit for Christmas. Unfortunately, I was feeling moody on this day. At first I was having great fun because Mama was chasing me around the house. As you can see here I am really laughing!!

Course, then I thought it would be fun to try taking some pictures myself. Unfortunately, Mama didn't agree. So, I did what any self-respecting toddler would do and I resorted to a tantrum. Sadly, Mama thought this was cute and continued taking pictures.

I did eventually relent and Mama took a picture of both of us. This one turned out pretty good!

Messy Eater
Wowsers it's been a while! Mama says this time its because I've been sick. You see, cousin M and I really like to share sippy cups (his milk tastes better than mine, even though Mama says its the same!) and cousin M has been sick so then I got sick. I've been coughing and sneezing and runny nose and the whole shebang! But I was feeling better tonight so after helping Grandma C and Grandpa D on their house, we all went out to dinner. I thought I'd try a new moisturizer called Pepper Pals Pasta.

After applying the moisturizer it was then time to floss my teeth with corn.

By that time I had pasta sauce all over my face, my hands, my tummy, my elbows, my pants, and the table! Mama says it is definitely bath night and that she'd definitely be using spray-in-wash on my clothes (Daddy recommended a gallon).
I honestly don't get what the big deal is. I think my parents are just weird.

Trunk or Treat
So on Halloween we actually went to the Trunk-or-Treat hosted by Aunt A and Uncle B's church. There were so many people!! While normally I love being around a bunch of people (especially people that make a big deal about me!), I wasn't too sure about this. Everyone looked funny! But, they were giving me candy (or letting me pick out my own, woohoo!) so I figured it had to be okay (that, and Mama and Daddy were with me). I got even more candy than I did at the Zoo Boo. I think we're going to be eating candy forever!
The Great Zoo Boo
Okay, so Mama has gotten a little slow in posting my pictures. Can she blame it on being busy? I think that's what she's blaming it on, anyway.
We went to the Zoo Boo at our local zoo with a big huge group! This was towards the middle of October, but Mama wanted to wait till closer to Halloween to post the pictures. We went with cousins B and M, Uncle B, Aunt A, Aunt A's sister and her family (including more kids, yippee!), and Grandpa D. I think I was by far the cutest one (but maybe I'm biased).

I also enjoyed hanging out with some new people and meeting cousin B and M's other cousins. I threw a fit, of course, when it was time to leave, but Mama gave me some cookie she had stashed in the diaper bag and before I knew it we were home! I think I might start liking this treat thing.

Bye Bye Summer
I guess since it is now October we have to consider summer over. I know officially summer is already over. Mama decided, though, since its only gonna get colder (hopefully!) that I should get a popsicle from the ice cream truck that comes down the street! It even had a popsicle that was my size! It was called a Bomb Pop, Jr. and it tasted really good. I think next summer I'm gonna have to capitalize on this ice cream truck thing.
Here's a picture of Daddy and me. Daddy was being silly and acting like he was trying to eat my popsicle. I knew he was doing it all along.

Now believe it or not, I have eaten this whole thing myself, and I even went on to finish it. Daddy had to pop the last bit in my mouth, though, as it fell off the stick. It still tasted just as good!
When Grandma C went to wash my hands off, we discovered my hand was all blue! I'll have to remember that for the future if I don't want Mama to know I'm eating popsicles!

Helping in the Kitchen
This morning Mama, Grandpa D, Grandma C, and I were hanging out in the kitchen (Grandma C was getting lasagna ready for dinner) and I was helping Mama out like I always do. Well, since Grandma was working on that stuff Mama went and got the camera to take pictures of me. I am such a big help to Mama cleaning stuff out of cabinets; I'm thinking of making it my profession.
As you can see, I first make sure all cabinet doors are open. I then start pulling stuff out and leaving it on the floor for Mama to trip over as she walks by. I learned that trick from the cats!!

Next I pose for the camera. I was trying to climb into the cabinet when Mama went to get the camera, but I didn't want any pictures to come back and haunt me so I just posed for Mama when she came back.

After pulling as much out of the cabinet as Mama would let me (she won't let me pull out that neat gizmo in the back that they call an ice tea maker... don't worry, you really cant see it in the pictures) I then thought it would be a good idea to help by putting my dishes in the cabinet. I went to my toy box and found my neat little tupperware dishes Grandma C just bought me and proceeded to bring them into the kitchen. Aren't I just darling?

The Box Monster
Mosquitos and Bees
So the other day we (Mama, Daddy, Grandpa D, Grandma C, and I) were outside and I was playing on my climber while Mama, Daddy, and Grandpa D were putting together a storage shed. I really love to play on it... open the door, close the door, open the door... convince someone to put me on the slide... Well, then the nasty mosquitoes decided it was time to come out. Sadly, one of them decided to bite me right under my eye (any closer, and she'd probably have got my eye!?!). No big deal, right... I'd just have a bite that would itch and itch and itch... except this time I got a great big giant welt! It made my eye swell up! Just take a look...

Mama took this on the good day when it wasn't so swollen. The next day it was swollen so much I could hardly peek out. So, Daddy called the doctor and was told to give me benadryl and keep an eye on the eye (haha!). I had a few doses of benadryl and my eye got better. I hope I never get a black eye cause that was no fun looking out of one little google (as Grandma R calls eyes).
Well, because of my reaction to the mosquitoes this time, Grandpa D said I should watch out for bees. I was watching for them, but I'm not even sure what a "B" looks like! But, Mama was holding me outside one morning and this cute little black and yellow bug landed on my hand. Granted... I thought it was cute till I closed my hand around it and it stung me on the palm! OUCH!! So, I now know what a bee looks like. Grandpa D got the stinger out and Mama put some baking soda on it and held me till I felt better. Luckily, I didn't seem to have a reaction to the bee sting and from now on I think I'll just stay away from them!

Crusin' Along
So Mama has had this neato toy in my room for a few months but I couldn't really figure out what to do with it. When I was still learning to walk I would sometimes push it around till I got it stuck and couldn't move it anymore. Well, now that I'm getting to be a pro at walking I discovered I could sit on it! And what's even better now I can balance! When Mama first pulled it out of the basement and tried to sit me on it I just fell off. But not anymore! (at least not that I'm going to admit and Mama better not tell anyone or I'll have a tantrum)

You know what's really neat about this crayon? Granted, I don't really know what a crayon is, but I've been told Mama's grandpa gave it to her when she was little! So Mama had this toy, too, and when I came along Grandpa Dave brought it to Mama and Daddy and said it was my turn to have it. This is so cool!

Continuing the Trend
This weekend has just not been good to me. On Saturday I was playing outside with my grand climber. I really like the door and opening and closing it. Someday I'll be good like cousin M and can climb the ladder to get down the slide! But, a nasty mosquito landed on my cheek and Mama thought it was just some dirt since I'd been playing in the dirt. I got a pretty big mosquito bite. Luckily, Daddy put some anti-itch cream on it and now its looking better.
Aunt A, Uncle B, and cousins B and M came over for a marshmallow roast on Sunday, which was great! I had oeey-gooey marshmallow and chocolate and graham crackers! Everyone called them s'mores, but I didn't know what we were having s'more of! But, anyway, when they got here I went to give cousin M a nice big hug... unfortunately he lost his balance and fell over, which made me fall over and I bumped my head. I got a pretty big goose-egg from that one! I was crying and crying, but cousin M cried even more than I did. Everyone thinks it was sympathy for me. Then later on I fell into Mama and Daddy's filing cabinet, which gave me another goose-egg. I'm tellin' ya, this walking business takes some skill!
Also, while hanging out outside for the marshmallow roast the mosquitoes got me! We're not quite sure if it happened before or after Daddy put the bug spray on me, but I got several bites on my face. Those things just itch and itch and itch!!
Then today I squished my fingers in the closet door (I guess I should have listened to Daddy... he's pretty smart!). Mama got me a ice-pack type thing, but I wanted to chew on it instead. Later on, I decide to try and get on the porch like I've been doing. I've gotten pretty good at getting down the step, but today I was trying with my sippy cup and lost my balance, so I ended up falling down the step somehow. I'm so glad Mama was there to cuddle me. I really needed that! I sure hope I get better at this whole balance thing pretty soon, I don't know if my head can take much more!

A Big Fat Lip
So I'm practicing my walking, and I'm getting better and better everyday. I've even been able to carry things while I'm walking. Yea me!!!! Course, that isn't always a good thing. The other night I was playing with Mama and after she gave me my milk in a sippy cup I took off "running" away from her. Well, I had the unfortunate luck to fall forward when I had my sippy cup in my mouth. Needless to say, that wasn't a good thing. As you can see, I got a fat lip out of the ordeal.
At first I wasn't sure what had happened, but by the time I realized I'd fallen and hurt myself, Mama had already picked me up. Thats when I chose to start screaming and crying and Mama noticed I'd cut my lip. I tried to stick my hands in my mouth, but I got blood on them and Mama pulled them away from my lip. She then cleaned me up real good and got the blood to stop. I was crying the whole time, though. And I didn't want anything to do with the ice Mama tried to put on my lip so I kept pushing it away. That's when Daddy remembered the ice-pop Grandma C and Grandpa D had bought me a while back! I think that was the best part of this whole ordeal!

Helping Out Mama
So the other day Mama decided she'd had enough of her desk chair squeaking every time she sat down. I wonder if maybe it was more because the squeaking tipped me off to when she was awake...? But, I guess it doesn't matter too much. The cool thing was that Mama let me help her! Okay, really, she just left the screw driver unattended for a moment and I took my chance! Hey, it didn't look that hard to do.

As you can see, I'm very proud of myself. =)

I'm Really Walking!!
So Mama and Daddy finally got a video of me walking. As you can see I'm very proud of myself.
I'm hoping Aunt Pookie looks closely... If she does, she'll see I'm wearing that most adorable Tweety Bird outfit she sent me. I Love You, Aunt Pookie!

Walking, Walking, Everywhere
So just the other day Mama and Daddy were trying to get me to walk, and guess what? I did it! I took a few steps by myself!! Wheee!!
I still prefer to crawl though, but Mama and Daddy keep working with me. I've even decided shoes aren't so bad anymore, though I still prefer to go barefoot. But, if I let Mama and Daddy put my shoes on me and I keep them on, they'll let me walk around instead of putting me in those rotten carts. I really like to move, that's for sure!
Sorry I don't have any pictures, as Mama and Daddy weren't expecting me to go for it this time!

Like Father, Like Daughter
Wowsers! Mama's been so busy with me she hasn't had time to update my blog in a month!!! But never fear, better late than never.
So I keep hearing this saying... "like father, like daughter"... and I don't really know what it means. Honestly, I think people are just weird sometimes. For instance, Mama is cracking up all the time over this picture:

Really, I don't get what is so funny. Oh, by the way, Mama says she's adding this picture of Daddy when he was just about my age:

Look! Daddy's playing with the same light switch!! Can you believe it? I knew Daddy was cool! Mama was just taking soooooooooo long to get me up one morning I decided to explore what I could reach. I couldn't help it the only thing I could reach was the light switch. Did you know when you play with the switch you can make things happen? I didn't know either till I tried it out!!

My First Trip to the Pool
Wow! I had my first trip to the swimming pool today. Daddy and Mama have been meaning to bring me for a while, but they are so lazy! So, the other day Daddy taught me to splash in the tub and I had so much fun he said we should go to the pool soon. Anyway, they were going to take me on Friday, but since Daddy had some time off work today we went this afternoon. I was tired because I didn't want to take my nap when Mama tried to make me so I'd actually fallen asleep right before we went, but I still enjoyed the trip. Daddy accidentally dunked me a couple times so I swallowed some water which really scared me, but mostly it was fun. I even got to ride on Daddy's back! (Mama held onto me though, in case my hands slipped off Daddy's ears... I didn't know that Daddy's came equipped with handles!)
Now, for what I know you've all been waiting for... the pictures!
I'm trying to catch that cool ducky I found on the side of the pool. I think we should come here more often, they have really cool toys to play with. They've even got balls! I kept splashing myself when I'd try to throw the ball to Daddy.
Just hangin' out on the side of the pool making sure the ducky doesn't waddle away. I think Daddy just said something cheesy.
Whee!! Daddy was swishing me around while Mama tried to take a picture. Daddy is just my favoritest toy ever!
I am so darling in my pull-over. I was waiting for Mama and Daddy to dry off so we could go get wet again in the shower. I don't really like the shower, so I made sure to scream and cry real loud and wiggle around as much as possible while I was slippery.

Sleep is wonderful
Did you know that Mama sneaks up and takes pictures of me while I was sleeping? I had no clue!! But, I do think I am just absolutely adorable when I'm sleeping.
Look at how little I was! I wasn't too old in this picture... I can tell because I'm still wearing my harness. I don't remember it, but Mama and Daddy say I wore one for a couple months to help my hips finish forming the right way.
Look at me... I pulled my blanket up over my head. I still do that, when I'm not just laying on them altogether.
I love my blankie! Hmm... maybe I should have Mama do a post about my blankie.
Daddy says I look really cute in this picture. I thought I always looked cute!
I have now mastered the art of sleeping with my butt in the air. I really don't understand why everyone else doesn't sleep this way.
