Christmas, Christmas Time is Here

I have been waiting aaallllll month for Christmas! I started talking about it as soon as we started decorating and I made sure to ask Mama and Daddy every day if it was Christmas yet. I had a particularly rough spot the first time it snowed... I was *sure* it was Christmas because of the snow. But, alas, I still had to wait.

I still had a good time, though. I had fun with Sassy, Santa's elf who comes to visit me every year. Sassy gets into mischief a lot!! I got to draw on the windows with window crayons and Mama and I painted sun catchers to hang in the windows. We went downtown to watch the living nativity. Daddy and I built a snowman once we had enough of the right kind of snow, and I got to put a carrot nose on him!

Christmas Eve Mama made cookies. Here I am helping to smoosh them...

Christmas morning I woke up and checked out my stocking. I wanted my Christmas banana right away, and I think it was the best banana I've ever had.

We opened presents...
( I just *LOVED* my princess tutu and tiara. I wore it all morning and even over to Grandma C and Grandpa D's house!)

Awesome!! A basketball hoop!

And a drum! I eventually convinced Aunt T to show me how to play it. And, while I think the drum is great, I was totally fascinated by the harmonica that came with it. At first I wasn't sure what to do, but eventually with the help of Aunt Pookie, I kinda figured it out.

Mama was joking after I got the tool set that I was a "tutu wearing-basketball playing-fixer upper". I just figure I'll keep my options open...

Christmas Visits

A few days before Christmas we had Grandma R, Uncle B, Aunt A, and cousins B, M, and E over to our house for a party. We had chili and fruit salad, yum! And bestest of all was getting to play with my cousins!! I just love my cousins.

Here I am with cousin E...
I was pretty excited, but I'm not sure how excited E was. Hmm... maybe she was just distracted by the tree.

After we ate some dinner, we got to open some presents. Here I am with Uncle B reading one of E's new books.

I got some cool clothes and a awesome elephant game. Aunt A and I played the game together and had loads of fun. Little butterflies come out of the nose and you are supposed to catch them in a net. I'm still getting the hang of catching the butterflies, but I have lots of fun trying.

A Trip to the Beach... In Winter?

I went with Grandpa D and Grandma C to visit some of my relatives. While we were there Grandpa took me to see Lake Michigan. I had lots of fun while I was there. I saw the lake, watched a bunch of seagulls...

played in the sand...

and decided Mama and Daddy are going to have to bring me here in the summer when I can actually play in the water!

My Own Little Shadow

I would like to introduce you to the newest member of our family...

Her name is Shadow and I just got her! Mama and Daddy said she's an early Christmas present.

I was all excited when I found out we were getting another kitty. When we picked her up, Shadow climbed up onto Mama's shoulder and hid in her hair. When we got home, I got to hold her. See...

We had a bit of a problem when Daddy tried to put her on my shoulder and she scratched my back with her claws. I didn't like that at all. It hurt and it scared me! Mama had to cuddle me in the other room until I calmed dawn and we talked about Shadow still being a baby and not knowing how to use her claws yet.

Daddy's Little Helper

I have been waiting FOR-EVER for the snow to finally come. I've been planning on how to throw snowballs at Mama and sledding down our hill and making snow-angels and most importantly... building a snowman! So, the good news is that we finally have some snow. The bad... its not the kind to make snowmen. *pout* However, I did help Daddy with the shoveling!! That was so much fun!
