Summer Fun

With the warmer weather Grandpa D, Grandma's C and R, Daddy, Mama, and I had a cook-out! I got to play outside and have lots of fun. When it was time to eat I had a hot dog, some kidney bean salad, and little bit of Mama's hamburger. The food was okay, but I liked playing more. Daddy made a sand castle in my sandbox and I got to stomp it down! And I played with my giant ball, then I tried to help Mama blow bubbles. Unfortunately I kept sticking the bubble stick too close to my mouth and got the soap on my lips. YUCK!!

Bugs and Nightmares

Well, with the warmer weather the last few days Mama and I (and Daddy when he gets home from work) have been spending lots of time outside. I even got to play with my sandbox I got at Christmas and the swings FINALLY woke up from their winter sleep. Phew... I thought they'd never wakie. But, with the warmer weather some of the bugs have come out. I thought bugs where those funny looking cars that Mama and Daddy are always "slug-bugging" each other with. I've learned, though, that they are also these scary little wiggly-crawly-fliey things. They kinda freaked me out at first, then Mama pointed out I had one hanging out on my arm and I didn't like that one bit! I started fussing and trying to run away, and for some reason Mama thought it was funny. Well, since I didn't want that bug on me, Mama flicked it off my arm. But guess what! It landed on my shoe. I about went bonkers again. I don't want this things on me!! Mama came to the rescue again and got it off my shoe. Then, when we were sitting on the swing a bug flew by my head!! I about crawled into Mama's lap I was so upset. And to top it all off, that night I must've had a bad dream about bugs because Mama says I woke up in the middle of the night crying and when she asked me what was wrong I said "BUGS!" Gah... hopefully they go away.

Great-Grandma's Birthday

We went to Great-Grandma's birthday party the other day. I had fun, but I got tired of sitting around all the time. Mama and Daddy wouldn't let me run around the restaurant, but I did get to sit in a booster seat instead of a high chair! Yippee!! Here I am hanging out with Great-Grandma. I think we're a couple of foxy ladies, don't you?
