What I've been up to

Okay, Mama knows its been a while since my blog was updated. She says its because we haven't done much where we take pictures. I think it's because I'm so busy driving her crazy she doesn't have time to work on it.

Anyway, here are some updates and a few posts with older-ish pictures.

1) Shadow was been de-clawed and now I don't mind playing with her so much. She still tries to bite, though, and got me pretty good on the arm. Sometimes I'm still rough with her, and Mama has to remind me to be gentle (such as *not* putting shadow in a tub with a lid on!).

2) Got a new bike and I'm going to learn how to ride it... eventually. Daddy tried to oil my old, yard-sale, very loved bike, and wasn't able to get it back together. =( I was sad at first, but then I got to pick out a new one. It's pink and purple and white and has flowers on it. Mama and Daddy even got a tow bar to attach to their bikes that will pull my bike, so once Daddy gets it hooked up we can go for bike rides. Yippee!

3) Been picking berries in the backyard. We got lots and lots of strawberries, and we even found blackberries. Yum! Daddy thinks we have so many wild blackberries this year because of all the rain we've gotten.

4) Had my first week-long grounding. =( I was naughty and got stuff out of the fridge and got it all over the kitchen. Mama was not happy. Part of my punishment was that I couldn't stay the night at Grandma and Grandpa's house for a week. I was *very* sad about that.

5) I met Aunt J and got to spend time with her.

6) Been working on my tantrums and whining. I don't think I do it enough. Mama says its gotten so bad that she's re-instituted rest time. I tell her that I don't want to go to sleep, and silly Mama just tells me I don't have to sleep but I have to stay in bed. Well, by golly, sometimes I do fall asleep. Mama has been telling people about the time she came to wake me up and said "wake up, sleepy head" and I sat straight up, looked around, and said "where?". She thinks it was pretty funny. I don't think its funny I was tricked into falling asleep...

7) Mama and Daddy put some kid games on the computer, and woo-wee! I am having a ball! My favorite is what I call my fishie game. Freddie and Luther (two fish) have to find out who's scaring the guppies at school. I'm pretty good at it, too. I also have a DragonTails game that I like to play and Mama found her KidPix program which is pretty neat for making pictures.

8) I'm starting to spell. Woot! I know that one z and two o's spell 'zoo' and most times I can tell that a, two p's, and l and an e spell 'apple'. I've tried spelling classroom (KSM) and Fudge (FJTH) and I can spell my name and my nickname. And, I know when Mama says "i-c-e-c-r-e-a-m" she's spelling ice cream! *licks lips* yum!!

Working on my Photography Skills

Lately I've taken an interest in taking pictures. I got my own little camera at Christmas, and Mama has had to change the batteries quite often because I take so many pictures. Unfortunately, the pictures from that camera aren't that great. However, sometimes I can convince Grandpa D to let me use his camera. Woohoo!

Sometimes this is tricky business, but I'm sure if I keep on trying I'll get the hang of it.

At the Beach

Grandma C and Grandpa D took me to the beach since last time I went it was winter and I couldn't go in the water. This time I had so much fun running around barefoot in the sand...

and Aunt H even took me into the water for a little bit...

I can't wait till the water warms up some more and I can actually play in it for a while!

Daddy's Little Helper

So last fall, Mama and Daddy discovered that all the sand in my old sandbox was moldy. =( Over the winter, they talked about it and about how small it was becoming, especially if I have friends over to play. The solution... build a new one and let me take my old one to Grandma and Grandpa's house.

After Mama and Daddy got the frame built, Daddy let me help him paint it!

I really like helping Daddy when he does stuff that I can help with.

Now I'm just waiting to get more sand (what we had didn't fill it in much!), and then it'll be time for me to start digging!

One Z and two O's spell Zoo!

Recently we hung out at the zoo with Uncle B, Aunt A, and cousins B, M, and E.

Here I am chillin' in the water spray. The zoo had these throughout, and B and I loved to hang out in them. At one point, we were soaking wet! But, it did help cool us down. Maybe my new found love or showers came about because of this...

Taking a ride on the train! We sat in the very, very back. I wanted to sit in the front, so I was kinda disappointed, but B and M really like the back. And when we went through the tunnel, we were making all kinds of noises. The sounds really echoed. Then, I noticed there were numbers on some of the trees and started counting them. Aunt A thought that was pretty funny!

Towards the end of our hike B discovered a camp site. Aunt A thinks its where they have their overnighters. The adults wanted a picture of us kids, and three of use where happy to oblige. I even got to help hold E on the bench so she didn't tip over backwards!

In the children's part of the zoo they had these awesome dinosaurs to climb on. This was a triceratops statue that we had fun climbing on and sliding down the tail.

Lovin' these Tattoos

I have recently discovered the joy of stick on tattoos. Ms. A at Daddy's chiropractor started giving them out instead of stickers, and I was hooked. I think I've been most proud of this one, though, that came in the birthday card that Aunt Pookie and Aunt T gave me...

Tweety Bird is so cool! Of course, the gorilla I had recently might also be a top contender... (it even had a flower!)

Another Year Older

Yah me! I had another birthday. And let me tell you (and anyone who will listen), I am soooooo excited to now be 4. I think it might be, by far, the best age to be.

This year for my birthday, we went to visit Aunt Pookie and Aunt T! Aunt Pookie needed to have back surgery, and since she and Aunt T always tried to make it for my birthday, Mama and Daddy decided to take my party there!

Here is my cake... Mama baked it and Daddy iced it. I think the green one is my favorite, but then green *IS* my favorite color (that's something else I'm always telling people).

As part of my birthday party, Aunt Pookie and Aunt T surprised me with a bouncy castle!! I was totally jumping for joy when it arrived and was being set up. Here I am trying it out. Daddy even climbed in there with me and played. Later, Aunt T got in there too.

Everyone singing happy birthday to me. I was sooooo excited, can't you tell? =)

Aunt Pookie and Aunt T invited some friends over who had kids so I would have other kids to celebrate with. The girl here is theirs, but the boy is just a neighborhood kid who showed up. I really had fun once there were other kids to play with.

I think I liked this part of the bouncy castle quite a bit...

While at Aunt Pookie and Aunt T's, I found the dog bed to be quite comfortable to hang out in. M thought it was pretty comfortable, too, and decided to join me as we looked through our goody buckets.
