Zoo Fun

The week after school got out I went to the zoo with some friends.Granted, we had to stick to shady spots, since Mama had a pretty bad sunburn from our trip to the lake a couple days earlier.  But, we still had fun and I got to see parts of the zoo I don't normally see. I've got my favorite part of the zoo, and I pretty much go there every time.  Unfortunately it's not very shady, so we had to skip it this time.

Me and my friends S and E watching the pennies spin around...

Hanging with the dodo...

Chillin' with a turtle...

Brushing (and petting!) some goats...

A New Sunday Dress

Do you like my new dress? It's pink! I've decided my new favorite color is pink. Sure, I still like green, and just about any color, but now my favorite is pink! It's just so.... pink!

Last Day of School

When school started I was super excited to be going back.  Then, as the year rolled on, I got more and more cranky, didn't want to get up in the mornings, and started telling peeps I didn't like school.  Needless to say, we are all happy to have made it to summer break! YEAH!!

My friend E and I ready for the bus....

Heading to wait for the bus...

And we're off for the last day of school!

Pie Throwing

A select number of kids got picked to throw a pie at our principal. I was one of the lucky ones! Mama says she overheard someone talking and saying that the kids chosen were chosen from those that completed their March reading log and turned it back in.

During the end of the year bash, our principal came out and I said to her "I can't wait to throw a pie at you!" to which she replied with "Well, I sure can wait!" It was great fun!

Here are all the chosen students, with Mrs. S decked out in her pie throwing contest.  We were instructed that Mrs. S was a delicate flower so we had to be gentle with her.

Lined up and waiting...

Here's a video of my turn...

And what I thought of getting to throw a pie at Mrs. S...

Camping

The last weekend before school was done, we went camping at a state park! It was soooooo cool! We stayed in a little cabin and it had bunk beds and I got to share a bunk bed with daddy! Of course, I took the top bunk. We went hiking, visited a lighthouse, went hiking some more, climbed some dunes, hiked some more, made smores (YUM!), and I didn't have a bed time! It was a lot of fun.

Here we are visiting a lighthouse that we hiked to...

Mama and I went up the lighthouse first while Daddy stayed with little bro. It was almost 200 steps high! When we looked out we could see for a *very* long way.  Then when we came back down, Daddy got to go up. He took this picture of me, Mama, and little bro from up there...

At one point little bro got hungry, so Mama told me I should try climbing the dune. Here I am about halfway up...

And at the top! That was hard work! I had to make my hands into claws and drag myself up the last little bit!

Coming back down I got to running really fast!!! Mama wondered if I might faceplant on my way back down I was going so fast.

We met up with some friends and one point and went hiking with them and climbed another dune.  This one had stairs, though! On our way back down Mr. D took this picture of Daddy and I, and if you look carefully, you might see Mama and little bro at the very bottom...

We also hiked over and saw a dam. That was really cool and there was soooo much water!

We hung around the campfire and tried to stay warm.

And here's me, Mama, and little bro outside our cabin...

Summer Ball

So... Mama and Daddy said I needed to play some kind of sport this summer. They tried to get me interested in soccer, since that is the game a lot of my friends are playing and they thought I would enjoy that. However, I threw a great big stink about it and refused! Big Time! Mama and Daddy said I had to do something, and I told them I wanted to do t-ball.

Well, I'm playing ball, but it isn't exactly t-ball like I wanted. Apparently the place I'm playing through wants the coaches to pitch the ball and we have to hit it that way.  While we're not exactly the greatest, we do a pretty good job hitting it.  If, after several pitches we still haven't hit the ball, then we can use the T.

We also don't play to win, but we play to learn the game and have fun and be good sports about it. I'm pretty excited about it... usually. Sometimes I'm tired, and other times it's *very* hot!

These pictures were taken from one of my first games.

Here my coach is helping me stand correctly...

I'm trying to hit the ball...

I'm on first....

And now my team is in the field...

It's So Hard Being a Princess

My cousin A asked if I could come to his birthday party and I was so excited to be able to!

Here we are waiting for our pizza to arrive.
