I was so looking forward to my birthday this year! Mama says I look forward to it every year, but this year is special. I mean, I'm never going to turn this age again!
When Mama and Daddy asked me what theme I wanted, I told them bears, just like I had for my first birthday. Mama and Daddy even tried to get me to change my mind, but I stood fast. Don't tell Mama this, but she almost had me with the cute dragons! Daddy did eventually get me to agree to doing Ewoks, since they look kinda like bears.
See... here's the cake:
Mama baked it and Daddy decorated it. I think it looks AWESOME!
I had some friends come over and we had fun attacking Daddy with balloons...
I got sung to and I blew out my candles...
Enjoying the cake and ice cream...
We went fishing in the fishing hole (really, it was just a bucket on the front porch, but it was still FUN!)
And we got to attack the Death Star! Woohoo!
Then I got to open the presents from my friends and family.
This is a stuffed golden retriever that I promptly named Golden. However, Mama says my face here reminds her of a scene in Despicable Me where one of the girls gets a fluffy unicorn and yells "IT'S SO FLUFFY!"

Birthday, Birthday Girl
I am beginning to think there is almost nothing quite as fun as discovering the package on the porch is for me. Mama said it was for me from Aunt Pookie and Aunt T! Yeah, birthday presents!
I got some cool new clothes for summer...
A car for my Polly Pockets dolls. I named the doll that came with it Vanessa, but then I changed her name and I'm not gonna tell. (that way I can get mad at Mama for not know it, bwahahaha)
I was just *this* excited to get a new Strawberry Shortcake movie. Oh my goshes! (Mama says that is my new favorite expression, though she doesn't know for sure where it came from)
And there is nothing quite like another noise maker in the house. I am *SO* gonna sing my heart out with this!
Thanks, Aunt Pookie and Aunt T!!!

Field Trip!
I think just another fun thing about school is going on field trips. After all, that's the only time I get to ride a bus. But, we also get to do pretty cool things, too. This time we went to a children's museum where we could try out different centers.
This was the veterinary science area. I was Dr. Jelly Bean.
Now I'm Postal Worker Jelly Bean...
Cashier Jelly Bean... *note from Mama - this was probably the most loved station the kids got to explore. They just adored being able to "shop" and check out each others groceries.
Knight Jelly Bean and Chef Friend...
Princess Jelly Bean...
Putting together a puzzle of our skeleton!

Maple Syrup Time
Oooo... once the weather started to warm up, Daddy discovered that a local forest preserve was doing a expo on the making of Maple Syrup. So, we hopped in the car and headed over there.
One of the activities I could do was to decorate a tree cookie. I was sad to discover it wasn't an actual cookie I could eat, but I did have fun making my very own necklace from a piece of tree!
I was also able to get my face painted. I picked an oak leaf. As you can see, I was very serious about this business...
After those activities, we took a hay ride out to the maple grove and listened to a volunteer tell us about the sap in the trees and how they get it out. Then, the kids were able to help drill a new hole. I thought it was pretty neat!
Here's Mama and I outside the maple house, were we got to see the people boiling out the water from the sap.

Spring Sing Concert
This spring all the classes in my program got together to put on a concert for the parents. We practiced hard, but we had fun learning our songs. The night of the concert we all gathered at a local school.
Here I am meeting up with some of my friends...
Relaxing and playing before it was our turn to go to the auditorium...
It was a long wait (we were the last class to perform!), but here we are!
Enjoying a snack with some friends afterwards...
I even convinced Mama to let me take a picture of her!
While Mama and Daddy admit they might be a little biased, they say my class was by far the best one there. All I know is that I had fun doing it! Mama says that if Daddy can get the video size smaller we should be able to post a video of my class' segment!

Making Lasgana
I really love it when I can help out in the kitchen. Of course, Mama and Daddy think it's because I can sneak some tastes...
"Go wash your hands, young lady!"
Helping put the cheese on top...
Helping spread it around...
Now we just need to be patient and wait for it to cook!

Valentine's Day
Adding the final touches to the Valentine's cookies for my teachers.
Being goofy at my class party. Maybe it was all the sugar, or maybe it's just because I'm silly.
Looking at some of my valentine's with a friend
My turn to hand out valentine's!

School
In case you didn't know, I absolutely adore school. I've told Mama I can't wait till next year when I can have a weekend that is *only* 2 days long instead of 3. And this past winter when we had some snow days I was just an absolute wreck.
We have lots of fun activities and we make things all the time. Here is a snowman we made by gluing shapes and painting on snowflakes!
I'm also have lots of fun learning the alphabet with Zoophonics. One of our animals is Jerry Jellyfish. Here I am with my very own self-made Jerry!
Last week, Ms. L brought in crickets and we got to listen to them if we were very quiet. We were even able to look at them under bug viewers. I just LOVE school!

Christmas 2010
Hello again, everyone! Yes, Mama realizes it has been a long time since she updated. She just didn't realize it had been over 4 months! Yikes. She says "time flies when you're having fun." I don't know about that, though. Time seems to fly no matter what for me. I wake up, and it seems like before I know it, it's bed time again. Or, I just get back to school and the next thing I know is it's the weekend. Where does all the time go?
Anyway, here are some pictures from Christmas...
I got an awesome doll house. Now all my fairies have a place to hang out...
Slippers!!
Daddy likes this picture of me, though the one he really liked turned out all fuzzy. I'm dressed up like June from Little Einsteins.
Yet another new dress up outfit and my play dough factory.
Here I am looking so sweet and innocent... *ding*
But Mama says that picture is missing something. *Mama rummages around* A-HA!
*Mama singing in the background* I see your truuuue colors shining through...
Moving on... Here I am just being cute...
Don't you just love my new tent? Aunt Pookie and Aunt T got it for me and it just about takes up all my available floor space! Of course, that means it has to stay out all the time. Mama and Daddy say "you just wait, Aunt Pookie and Aunt T."
